Door Sills
Re-chroming the door sills on my '66 GMC is cost prohibitive considering it is a roughly used, seldom seen part on a daily driver. LMC carries "Premium" chrome and polished stainless steel door sills from "new tooling" and "OE quality steel", but, they don't have the GMC logo stamped in them. The ones with the logo aren't the "Premium" reproduction ones. Does anyone have any experience with the “premium" vs. regular reproduction door sills? A logo would be nice, but if the premium reproduction item is better than the standard logo item, then that is the way I will go.

Re: Door Sills
I Don't know about the premium sills but I bought the the cheaper chrome ones because I wanted the logo on them and they seem to be of good quality. They are new so we will see how the chrome finish holds out.

Re: Door Sills
I prefer the stainless steel myself as they can be polished out if they get scratched. Cant do that with the chrome ones.
