Rust Vs Dents
What's worse to repair;
Dents or Rust? I'm thinking I'd rather have a body panel (hoods, doors, fenders, etc..) with dents rather than with rust that needs to be cut out and patched. What do you guys think?

Re: Rust Vs Dents
Yeah, I had rather fix dents than rust and that does follow my life as I build late models for a living and work on and restore old trucks for fun in my off time. At times I get to where I hate to repair any of it and let it sit for a day or two. Jim

Re: Rust Vs Dents
But I would paint over a dent first rather than leaving rust.

Re: Rust Vs Dents
Dents for sure. They are only on the exterior body . Rust is every where and usually in areas that are difficult to get to. Also after welding up a panel that's large or you can't get a dolly behind it. you usually are rewarded with a dent to fix!

Re: Rust Vs Dents
Depends on how bad the rust is. If you had to choose between MAJOR rust and A LOT of dings, I would choose the dings.
Job by job though. Lots of variables.

Re: Rust Vs Dents
Well I like working on either. Dents or rust it does not matter to me. I just like to test my skill level its the only way I can get better. The bigger the challenge the more I enjoy it.
