Re: Misc - Steering wheel, seat tracks, glass, dash pad,
Is that an OEM rear slider? If so what's shipping cost to 87110? Thanks, Pete

Pete,
I took this out of my 1970 C/10, I doubt it was original, are you still interested? |

Re: Misc - Steering wheel, seat tracks, glass, dash pad,
From the pics it looks as if it could be OEM. Does it have "Safety Float" embossed in the lower outer corner(s) of the glass? Thanks, Pete

Re: Misc - Steering wheel, seat tracks, glass, dash pad,
Interested in the way the seat tracks was modified for the joining wire connection to each rail. Your idea? How well did it work? I constantly have fought that seat adjustment and open to new ideas. Thanks.

Re: Misc - Steering wheel, seat tracks, glass, dash pad,
That is the way it was set-up when I bought truck. Seemed to work fine, never even realized it was that way until I took out seat. Not sure you can see it in the picture, but it is a vinyl covered cable ran thru eyes then clamped.........good luck!

Re: Misc - Steering wheel, seat tracks, glass, dash pad,
Huh - That could be an OEM as I have one with "Safety Float" and another with just "Safety." I'm in the process of restoring one now and could use yet one more in case I break anything. Does your slider resemble those in the thread here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=559651
If so, I'd be curious what shipping cost would be to 87110. Thanks for checking. Pete

Re: Misc - Steering wheel, seat tracks, glass, dash pad,
Pete - Attached are a few more photos that I have here at work. Looks similiar to me.
About $35 dollars to ship ( 27 lbs ), that using a discounted UPS rate here at work. |

Re: Misc - Steering wheel, seat tracks, glass, dash pad,
Thanks again. Does the frame have two screws top two bottom recessed into the "C"channel to remove the metal posts on either side of the fixed window panes? If so and no other damage aside from the broken latch I'll take it.
