front axle dana tear down...which parts are keepers or trash?

tore down my d44 front axle knuckles, spindles, calipers, etc.
typical farm truck/rust bucket condition...needing a complete go over.
what parts should i keep to sandblast and paint because replacements are rare or expensive or not available new?
what parts should i buy new because it will be fast and easy?

knucke
spindle
caliper mounting plate/dust shield (what is this part called?)
calipers
hub body
manual locking hub internal parts

Personally see no reason to buy parts if yours are serviceable. Save the money. Clean it up, lube and re-assemble. Obviously bearings and ball-joints are replacement items and so is the rotor if it's whacked and it is certainly easier to buy calipers than re-do them. But spindles and knuckles would be keepers.

i plan to reuse as much as possible and practical.
just in case...if beyond reusing due to rust or whatever:
knuckle
spindle
caliper mounting plate/dust shield (what is this called?)

Can these three parts be bought new? This would be nice to know before i go to speak with my sandblaster guy.

i didn't see them listed at the normal vendors.

Personally, I would keep everything

I don't think you can get the backing plate,but be careful sandblasting it because it might destroy it. The caliper and bearings are still available and are the only thing I would change. Chris
