I'm hoping to get the front end rebuilt in the coming weeks. Works busy and mother nature is not being very nice.

what else are you doing to this thing besides the front end before you paint it?

Lets see. Find a better bed, Both cab corners, both rockers, floor pans, new doors, new fenders, new hood. Fix the roof dents. So everything.

Other then roof and doors i had to do all that....Well Im just gonna patch the bed....PITA but not too bad

There is a transmission shop here that has had a truck with a good bed sitting out back for years now. I think maybe it has a mechanics lien on it. Might ask questions and see what the deal is. I have looked at it up close and only surface rust and pretty damn straight.

you should inquire about it maybe ask to buy the whole truck instead of just the bed.... i think you probably would get a better deal if you ask to buy the whole thing....

Talked to the shop. He is gonna call me tomorrow or next day. He was thinking $695-$650. Im gonna try and get it for $550-$600. its an 80's so it has the square headlights and such. It has tons of parts that could be used or sold. Well worth it if i can get it. Very little rust.

Picked up my shift knob today. Picking up the keg for the gas tank tomorrow or sunday.

Not a whole lot new. Picked up the empty keg yesterday. And today i am working on the Rear wheels. What ya think. First coat next to primer.

Thanks. Its a dark steel color. Didn't want to go as dark as charcoal And not as light as argent silver. So this is just right.

Well guys its been too long. Got nailed with paying in on taxes this year so the truck has to wait. Only part i'm missing for the front end rebuild is offset upper control arm shafts. I'm hoping within the next few weeks to get the parts and get to work again. Pictures will be provided of course.

Sucks to hear about the taxes man! But glad your alive I was wondering where you've been, can't wait to see it! hopefully you'll provide pictures for the whole front end rebuild because I'm about to be doing that myself haha

same here the last 2 years i had to pay uncle sam money and it wasn't fun
