Re: Making her entrance

now how cool is THAT! Congrats!

Quick question - was it just K10s that only got TH350s? Didn't know one could get a TH400 in a 4x4, but I was kinda in a 1/2 ton mindset, so wondered if the TH400 was available from the factory for the 3/4 tonner 4x4s...

I have no idea this truck has been chopped and changed alot over the years. I it is a 71 body but it is a 3/4 ton chasis due to the axles, and trans. to be honest i think it may be a newer year frame

more pictures coming waiting for it not to be freezing out

Re: Making her entrance

ah! that would make sense if it is a frame swap - I do know that you could get TH400 in a later year K20, just wasn't sure about the 67-72s. But who knows, could be a 71 frame also - I'm not sure if you could get the TH400 in a K20, that's what I'm hoping to find out. Thanks!

Must have something to do with Ft. Leonard Wood, I'd say.

Re: Making her entrance

Nice! That's going to be some nice upgrade. Why are you gutting the newer truck?

I worked for Chevrolet dealers on and off from 1970- 1972, and in those days only a 350 was offered for 4WD, AFAIK.
