Making her entrance
Well here she is mye is 1971 Chevy K20, 283 (for now), TH400, 1 ton axles. sh daily driver until my 2011 Silverado gets here from italy, then she is getting stripped, lifter, transplant, and paint to to look like my 2011 but in 1971 fashion.

Quick question - was it just K10s that only got TH350s? Didn't know one could get a TH400 in a 4x4, but I was kinda in a 1/2 ton mindset, so wondered if the TH400 was available from the factory for the 3/4 tonner 4x4s... |

ah! that would make sense if it is a frame swap - I do know that you could get TH400 in a later year K20, just wasn't sure about the 67-72s. But who knows, could be a 71 frame also - I'm not sure if you could get the TH400 in a K20, that's what I'm hoping to find out. Thanks!

Nice! That's going to be some nice upgrade. Why are you gutting the newer truck?
I worked for Chevrolet dealers on and off from 1970- 1972, and in those days only a 350 was offered for 4WD, AFAIK.
