Re: New un-named crew cab project......
Sorry guys,
I haven't been on here much to some time. Haven't done much funn stuff to this either. I had to replace the head gaskets, joy lol Then I had problems getting the valve covers to seal. Ended up leaking oil everywhere. I finally got the leaks fixed and was under the truck cleaning it up. I found out that the front springs have an add-a-leaf. That explains why it sits higher. I'm thinking I might ditch the add-a-leaf and swap in an EZ-inch instead. Hopefully it will help the rough ride.

Re: New un-named crew cab project......
Well, Joe, I moved to the valley and I have already moved back to a village. I finished my PhD in Education and I now live in a small village north of Kotzebue. I had bought an '86 GMC but it blew up this summer and I sold it (it had a 4.3L V6, one of the first in a 3/4 ton truck). I will be looking for another truck this summer. It is great to hear you are still working on your trucks.

I now live in Kiana. It is beautiful up here and I hope to do some hunting after this year. We have a lot of caribou and moose up here.

Re: New un-named crew cab project......
I decided to throw some military 37's on my truck
(I got a load of stuff headed for the dump in the back so she is squatting a bit.)

Re: New un-named crew cab project......
Thanks!!
Lol It actually clears the front fenders lock to lock but it is close in a couple spots. It will most likely rub with articulation while turning. I'm just gonna trim the lower corners for now.

Re: New un-named crew cab project......
I got your twin, except I had to put a 4L80 in mine. I got a couple of 6.2 engines you can have. It's just getting them up there that would make it cost prohibitive.

Re: New un-named crew cab project......
Thanks Hank!
Cos That's cool! Does your truck have a number painted on the roof? Are you running a 4L80E behind your cummins? Is love to have those 6.2's lol

Quote:
As for the 4L80 behind the Cummins, Yes I removed the TH400 and put in the 4L80 since mine is also geared with 4.10 gears in the differentials.

Re: New un-named crew cab project......
Man, your truck is looking great. I hope your summer is going well. I am currently trying to buy a K5 Chevy Blazer here in my village (it is a '76 or so and has been sitting a bit). Keep working on your trucks, it is great to see an update.
