Width of a C10, outside of tires?

I'm going to have to use either a tow dolly or a flat bed trailer to bring home my newly purchased 65 C10, and I can't find this dimension anywhere. Can someone tell me the width measurements from the outside of the tires?

Thanks!

Jason.

I used a car hauler from uhaul to bring my 64 k10 home. It's a long bed, so it barely fit length wise. Sorry I don't have the numbers you're looking for.

A tow dolly will work fine. Used one to tow my 64 about 400 miles. Flatbed car hauler will also work, no problem. At least a U-Haul one will.

Just measured mine at 74 inches as well, tire to tire.

Re: Width of a C10, outside of tires?

Thanks, gentlemen, I really appreciate the info and advice. I just sent payment for the truck, and am arranging shipping. I'm excited!

I'll do a proper intro thread when I get it home.

Harpo, how do you like the 225 70 15s? Talll enough? I've got extra tires to use. One set of 235 75 15 WWs, and one set of 225 70 15 blackwalls. I'm up in the air on which set to go with. It's a 230/3spd, btw. Likely 3.73s, I presume.

Wow, my truck is almost the exact same as yours, no side trim, BBW.

Cool Re: Width of a C10, outside of tires?

Be carefull! when you get your truck on the tow dolly. I towed my 64' c20 from San Diego to Idaho and everything went smooth but the truck barley fit on my dolly. I know the uhaul ones are wider than mine but if you are borrowing one from a friend it might not fit as well. I had to take the fenders off of my dolly and "stretch 'em out" a lil'. Good luck and I wouldn't part with that dolly for a lot of money! It has saved my but more than once.
