That box always grabs my eye every time I walk in to Lowes. Tools, cold beer, music...what more could you need in the garage?!

Re: Got something

I heard they have some connection to Snap-on. That was a while back, though.

I bought some Kobalts for a small kit I put together to keep at work. They have a few typical, gimmicky, infomercial-esque tools (that I avoid), but as far as your basic hand-tools (screwdrivers, combo wrenches, ratchets, etc.), they've held up pretty well.

Re: Got something

That's going to look funny in the bed of your truck. Don't they make them more slim lined? Lol.

Funny you should say that! when I was in the store getting the box,guy in tools and hardware dept shows me a $280 diamond plate cross box that was a little bent, says its yours for $50,my wife is going to kill me!
spent the whole day moving stuff around like built in cabinets so the box would fit nicely, hell off a lot of work! still have to fill it with tools laying around everywhere! defiantly looks awesome in my home garage! now beer and whatever else!

My take is they are like any non premium tool. Some in the line are excellent some are poor. Read reviews, thats one way of making good choices.
I'd say overall there stuff is just fine for the hobby guys.
