Will this mirror look dumb? Be honest.

I jumped the gun and ordered these round mirror heads online with some mechanical parts. Now I realise they are 6" diameter plus. I see other trucks with smaller round ones I like better maybe 5" but trying to decide if I can live with these 6"ers? Better than the rusty broken rectangular ones that were on there and these are convex for greater viewing area but...

Better than the ford ones that get put on these so often! Sure they are bigger than stock but I would say a lot more functional but still with a factory look. I say roll with it.

Re: Will this mirror look dumb? Be honest.

Well the stock 5x7 was about the same size. Being bigger it may vibrate even more and convex is not the best thing for your only mirror. But then you probably won't be backing a loaded horse trailer around a corner. Try them and see if they work. Maybe a set of motorcycle heads or even vintage Jeep heads would work for you. If not there is always the stock 5x7 or rounds.

I'd keep 'em. Think they look great and better than the 5X7 ones I've got. Can't hardly see around my side mounted spare with mine. Looks great bud.

Re: Will this mirror look dumb? Be honest.

Those are some of the best looking mirrors that chevy ever made. I just put them on my truck. They are about 6" diamater i think. They are bigger in real life than i expected and look absolutely amazing. Yours look larger because your arm is shorter. I really dont like the square ones.

Re: Will this mirror look dumb? Be honest.

square78's are the standard GM 5" repros. As yours are only 1" bigger - I doubt many, if any, could tell the difference if you hadn't pointed out that they were 6". Having had several 5" ones, I think 6" would be a welcome improvement in rearward visibility. AND, I think they look great. If you find out you don't like em, you can always swap in the future, but I'd certainly keep em on there if it were my truck and not go around thinking people will think they look out of place.
