Re: 1964 longbed PORTERBUILD DROPMEMBER project

Lot of time spend in the workshop this time, not on my computer.....

make some space on the notch for the U clamps

i ve removed the stock trac bar bracket

modified it, and welded it back to have a more longer trac bar to minimize the side to side effect

Too much delay at the machining shop for the drop blocks machining, so i ve grab the tools and go for custom build ones

thats fit perfect!!!!!!

it s time to work on bags mounts

stainless tubing brace

good lookin!!

shocks upper mounting stainless brace

airtanks and bags installed for a fit test

bed installed and ready to see the final rear height.....this mofo is low as hell and lookin pretty cool !!!!

full inflated height......close to stock

rear is done and ready for paint, i ll work on bed floor and fender wells this week

normally got my PORTERBUILD front dropmember kit at the end of next week
stay tuned..............

Re: 1964 longbed PORTERBUILD DROPMEMBER project

This is an awesome build!!
I really admire you european guys that do builds like this, it has to be even more challenging doing it over there than it is where I am !!

Because you know, you guys are all metric and stuff....

Hope you dont mind, but I am certainly going to watch you on this one !!

NICE WORK! You've got some excellent fabrication skills, my friend. I can tell that this isn't your first time doing this.

You are going to have the coolest truck in France.
