Another drum to disc question... sorry!
Hi guys and gals!
I did some research but could not find the exact answer I was looking for, so help! My 64 c10 frame is done being media blasted and painted, so here comes the fun part, reassembly! I am going with a drum to disc conversion. My question is which supplier should I go with for the complete kit? bowtiebits.com - $599.00 http://www.BowtieBits.com/store/stor...Category_ID=84 CPP - $799.00 http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...6062SWBK-5.htm earlyclassic.com - $759.00 http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog....version%20Kits Or what kit have you guys used?? I am also planning on doing new ball joints etc, so if there is a kit that comes with all of that it would be great! Thanks for the advice! fyi - I rather pay for the convenience of buying a kit, VS buying each part individually. (unless it's going to save me money!!) If i go with 5 lug disc up front, where should I get the rear end from? keeping in mind that I want a cruiser so gas mileage is also key for gear ratio... Re: Another drum to disc question... sorry!
I cannot answer, as I always got parts from donor vehicles--cheaper for me around here.
Also, CAUTION: It'd be a good idea if you checked vendors' reputations and caveats (?some where?) in this forum. Some members have had bad experiences....what a shame, really. Would be nice to not have to do that!!! Sam |
