Project Peanut - 4.8 into a 77/K5/SM465/205

Getting ready to start a LS swap into my '77 K5. I've had this engine since '08 and I believe it to be a late '07 4.8. I did not see what it was out of, as I got it as a trade, which is a long story. As I posted in another thread here regarding the missing front accessesories, the Blazer is my normal DD to help save wear and tear on my '05 CCLB Dmax. The goal is to have as much power as a standard 350, but have slightly better mileage along with all the other things that come with a modern powerplant. Besides, the Goodwrench 350 that is in there now is really sucking down the oil via the valve stems especially on #6 and #8 requiring frequent plug replacement. Original quadrajet has 190k of throttle shaft wear etc. So the time has come!

With the help of another member here, (thanks Chris!) I think I've sourced many of the missing engine large hardware/accessory items. Additionally, I have a a hydraulic clutch setup that I believe to be complete, so I'll be doing that swap at the same time.

The plan is to pull the complete front clip as I think it will be the easiest route to go, plus it will give me access to address the driver side door hinges (pass is fine) and add the accordian tubes for wiring into the doors to finish off the power door locks.

The K5:

Not sure why I can't attach more than one pic at a time from the iPad, so bear with me here...

Assuming the blue dot on the front and back of the block on the 4.8 indicate the displacement. :-(

Next up, figuring out who I want to rework the wiring harness and flash the ECM with a base tune. Not sure if there is anyone good local here in the Phoenix Metro area...
