New guy again

Well I'm going to try this again.Tried posting last week and didn't
appear.
Just picked up a '79 Stepside. 250-6 ,AT ,PS PB . Runs and drives
pretty good . Few issues that I'll be asking about. Paid $800.

Have some pictures but not on a web site. I can email then to
someone to post here, just let me know.
I used to have a '69 and a 72 Chevy truck,sold them both.

This '79 is a keeper. Have plans to lower it , new tires and wheels, V-8(Cad 500 in the garage) and some body and paint.

I'm an old guy (53) and like most anything with an engine, even
some old F@@D's.

Youngest kid is a senior in college ,so more truck money for me in the near future.

Lots of good info on this site ,hope I can help when I can.

later

Welcome to the board Jim! Truck sounds cool and your plans sound cooler!

You don't need to have a website to post pics here, simply use the "browse" button next to "attach file" when posting...just browse to your hard drive or wherever you have them stored.

If that doesn't work, e-mail them to me and I can assist ya!

Welcome to the board! All right! Another Oregonian! When posting pictures, make sure they aren't too big, 640 X 400 would be fine, otherwise it will take forever to load.

Welcome Jim!

You wouldn't happen to have lived in Ashland, Oregon a couple years ago?

Thanks for the greetings everyone.

I just drove around in the neighborhood's and found this truck
with a for sale sign on it.

They were asking a $1000 and we settled on $800.

So far I've put about $125 into it-exhaust and battery.

I've lived in Albany about 15 years, have passed thru Ashland
but never lived there.

Bigblock73 I emailed you about my pictures. Maybe you can
post them. Its not working for me. The pictures were taken
with a digital camera and they are on my hard drive ,still won't
load . Maybe you can help.

Since I have your attention---

Do any of you Oregon fellas have a good front bumper ? Mine is
mangled.

How about a stock rear stepside bumper ? I have a big factory
step bumper that I don't want.

Also need a good hood ,gray if possible and a drivers door complete.

Promise in the future I'll ask for this stuff in the for sale section.

Welcome Jim. Glad to see more and more people coming abord.

I also came across a decent deal recently when I found an 80 Custom Deluxe 4X4 That I ended up trading a gun for. The truck is a little rough but it runs great and the 4X4 works great.
