Working pressure, volume of air (cfm). They make a great compressor. I have twin Viairs on my ride. Get in touch with ProPerformance in the supension marketplace. His name is Travis, and he will cut you a sweet deal on a compressor, or two, and will be able to help you choose correctly.

Just think of it how much air you need and how fast you want it.When it comes to air ride it comes down to how much your gonna use it.If you want to just raise it up to drive and dump it when it parked a small tank and compressor is fine.If your gonna play with it the whole time you need a bigger tank and twin compressors.

Re: So many viair compressors, whats the difference??

VIAIR does make a great compressors, and the things that vary between them are mentioned above, and re-stated below:

Working Pressure
CFM
Duty Cycle

Some will say you need a 100% duty cycle, but that isn't necessarily true. A 33% duty compressor will handle almost anything. In general, I recommend a dual compressor setup with a 4-5 gallon tank. You can get by with a single compressor and 3-4 gallon tank. I just feel the ideal setup, without going overboard, is a dual setup. It will be cheaper to go with a dual setup from the start, than to add another one later if you decide.

Give me a call and would be happy to get you all set up or answer any more questions in detail.

Recommendations:
Dual 400C's - 150 PSI
Dual 444C's - 200 PSI

Ok thanks for the input guys, ill probably go with the 444s. Also is a 5 gal tanks to big to mount to the frame rails on my 72 short, or would it be better to put a 3 gal tank on each side.

A 5 gallon tank is long (28"), but will squeeze in there. However, I would also consider a 4 gallon (24") which is a little shorter. If you were to do a 3 gallon on each side, you can go with the Porterbuilt mounts, which will handle the mounting of a 3 gallon tank and 1 compressor per side.

Either way you go on the size of tank, the 444's will handle it. We have the 3 gallon tanks, 444's, and PB brackets in stock.
