Shaved wiper cowl- panel from Scott's hot rods.
Well I wanted my cowl shaved and started doing research. After talking to Justin at Scott's I went with the Scott's panel. I know that they make a fiberglass unit but I wanted metal. Justin said they will sell the patch panel or ship him my cowl and they will shave the vents and antenna and ship it back metal finished. $159 for panel, $400 for the complete panel done by Scott's. here are some pics. I could not finish it today but I will and ill post up some pics.

Re: Shaved wiper cowl- panel from Scott's hot rods.
Fitment was very good. It was english wheeled to give it shape. Now I just need to put on a few hundred tack welds and then clean it up a bit. I bolted the panel in place and tacked the corners of the cowl to hold it in place and shape. Ill update once I get it all welded in.

Re: Shaved wiper cowl- panel from Scott's hot rods.
Thanks. I have heard nightmare stories of people shaving the cowl because of the shape and curves. This made it easier and a nice fit. If I had the extra $$ I would have had them do the cowl then just bolt on.

Looks awesome! Looks like I just found another item for my must have list
Do you know if it is available without the wiper slots?

Re: Shaved wiper cowl- panel from Scott's hot rods.
You did a excellent job on welding it up and not distorting the contour at all, which would be easy to mess up.

Re: Shaved wiper cowl- panel from Scott's hot rods.
Thanks guys. The panel fit great which made it a lot easier. It's used for fresh air from the factory ac/heat system.

Re: Shaved wiper cowl- panel from Scott's hot rods.
Im guessing that its a fresh source of air for your HAVC blower, and also a nice breeze to keep your wiper motor cool under working loads

Re: Shaved wiper cowl- panel from Scott's hot rods.
looking good! the tiny screws that holds it together in the upper side. Can I just go ahead and remove them and the cowl sits good anyway?
