Nice! Glad to know I'm not the only one who enjoyed that...and it's pretty clear 354's are nearly as plentiful nor cheap as smogger 350's, so I can understand the hesitance about putting the screws to it. Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the car and engine though!

Re: Parked Indefinite

With the doors aligned to standard that these trucks provide, which is what it is, it was time to fit the fenders and finish the inner fender raising job on the driver side. I was dreading this since the passenger side seemed like a never ending cycle of cut, weld, grind, repeat. I was also was holding off because the fender was rotten in some ugly places, but the search to find another was plagued by no one on craigslist returning my calls or messages. I ended up deciding to just fix the fender I had which turned out okay I guess. Used another fender that I had around back to fix the bottom and made a sheet metal patch to repair the wheel opening area. Also got a start on raising the inner fender flange...here's some pics of where I'm at:

Aligned somewhat:

Not fun:

Fender bottom...you know you're grasping at straws when you have to patch the patch!

Re: Parked Indefinite

Just about finished with the inner fenders and aligning the fenders themselves...just a few more welds, a little more grinding, then some sanding and painting. Will be glad to have it done.

I haven't made much progress but I can give you an update of where I'm at: Both fenders are now smoothed and basically ready for an epoxy/clear coat, and the inners have been massaged and beaten to the point where they are just about ready for the same finish. Some pics I took:

Fender bottom welded up:

Hope to have this painted soon...next thing to tackle will be the fuel system

Finally painted...here's some pics of how it turned out:

While that stuff dried I picked away at a few things:

I'll try to get some pics of everything back together up soon.

Thanks guys!

So after doing some reading on the turbo forums, I think I pretty much figured out what I need for a fuel system. Going to go with a single walbro 255 pump, mallory 4309 regulator, and -8 for the feed and return. Should be enough I think...

Anyways, in the meantime I managed to get the battery mounted:

Put the rear window back in and started to put the dash back together:

Been putting off the swaybar for a while, so I finally got that reattached and took a few dark pictures:

While on my back under the dash, I thought I saw a photo opportunity, maybe not:

Re: Parked Indefinite

Picked up my fuel system stuff today. Tried my hand at putting a fitting on the hose and it went smooth. More to come...

Re: Parked Indefinite

I decided to clean up the the tank a little bit before I did the final install, came out decent enough, especially for something that wont be seen. While I was on a roll I put a sending unit in for the fuel gauge. Next up will be mounting the pump and running some lines.

Re: Parked Indefinite

Pretty much figured out where the pump and regulator are going to mount, and also got an idea of where I'll run the hose:

Some new hardware under the hood:

Roughed out a piece of aluminum to mount the pump and filter onto which will bolt to the bottom of the frame:

Re: Parked Indefinite

Didn't get much time to pick away at it today but managed to run a couple lines.

To the regulator:

And just in front of the spring hanger where they come through the frame:

I think it's out of a 66 or 67 chevelle, and it was a bolt on after I clearance the back of the wheel a bit
