What is this?
This is my 8 lug wheel, but what is the brown thing sticking out with the 8 bolts on it?

That's the wheel hub. You have a full floating axle. Good heavy duty stuff.

That is the hub, it has a spindle and bearings for the hub. The bolts bolt the axle to the hub.
