speaking of that I think you need to rethink your cam, I think you need one that talks, not mild performence. Flows were made to talk the lumpity

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

I agree! But saddly... This engine is going in my so far daily driver and being that's what it is then I do need somewhat good gas mileage... But I can assure you when I get some beater vehicle... The 327 can come out and get some performance shoved it!

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

lumpity doesn't neccessarily mean bad mileage.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

First get it tore down and see what came it has. If it's original GM there were several and a couple of em were lumpy. When we going to see pics of the 327 coming home in the back of the truck?

I am but I don't think its to high, shifts at around 1800rpm. The trans shop did some mods to the shift kit so it winds a little higher than that depending where my foot is in the pedal.

Yeah, I forgot about stall converter when telling Rick lumpy, I'll have to look and see how much lump we can get him without alot of cash.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

its 86.6 miles away at approx. 1 hr and 35 min away the farthest ive taken the 67 is 25 miles there and 25 miles back.

if i do take the trip in the 67 im going to need 2 full tanks and im gonna need to get my leaky valve stem fixed on my flat tire so i can take my spare off and put it back in the bed... and i think ill need some extra quarts of oil. and after that ill check levels and everything should be good to go!
