Re: vin decoding help please?

As far as I know you can. You don't have to post the last six since this is just the build sequence number. I have posted a couple on here.

Re: vin decoding help please?

If you have a spid sticker I think the big ten and heavy half should have rpo code F44.

Not from the VIN #. Do you have a sticker inside the glove box?

Re: vin decoding help please?

i sure would like to know a little more history on my truck.

i peeled the sticker out of my parts truck glove box but i kept it with the title in case i ever want to sell it or if im ever interested in seeing the options for that specific truck i sure wish the previous owner of my truck would have done the same!

Re: vin decoding help please?

Does your truck have the original seat? Might take it out and see if there is one in the bottom of it in the springs. Just a thought. I think sometimes they got stuffed in the seat if I am not mistaken.

Re: vin decoding help please?

im pretty sure my truck is a Silverado it has the silverado badge on the dash pad and the badges on the fenders were removed and you can see the imprintation of "silverado10" in the paint.

if this is a silverado big 10 is it rare at all?

You can send $50 and your VIN to the GM Heritage Center and they will provide you with the actual invoice for your specific truck (includes option content and pricing).

Re: vin decoding help please?

My dealer has access to production info, I can give him the last 8 digits and he can tell me everything it came with. Might check with your dealer's part's counter...

Re: vin decoding help please?

PM me the info, I'll try but we haven't had much luck with stuff before about '80. I need to know what you want to know as well. It's kinda nice to know where a truck started, but at this point it really doesn't matter much.

So the first link would be able to tell what all came on the truck when it was built and everything like that?
