TX wtb sm465 boot and ring

I'm looking for a nice shape 465 boot and ring. Not show stopping but not a piece of crap .Maybe a worn out knob that you can barely tell what it says.

I have one I removed from my '71 4x4 sm465 since I have converted to a
350TH auto set-up. Not sure if they are the same or not. Here are couple pics if anyone knows they are the same as the square bodied trucks. Boot in nice shape, no tears, trim ring good with no rust. $30 shipped to your door if you think it will work.

I thought they were leather? I may take that one if nothing else. It will do the trick that's for sure. Ideally I'd like one like this. Of course I have had a few and never kept em.

that round one can probably work. i am going to make my own shifter. iron horse, do you have a knob? ideally blank

obijuan, I do have a blank knob, same knurled style as the '71-'72 transfer lever knob but no lettering at all. Same knurling or vertical ribbed marking but it does have a smaller diameter and thread size. Not sure where it came from or what it fits. Looks to be enough "meat" to the center it could be drilled and re-threaded to a larger size. I can get some pics of it tomorrow if interested, let me know. From your posting are you still interested in the round shift boot and ring?

yeah round will probably work better for me. i need to make a custom bent shifter. and all blank knobs is a theft deterrent lol.

Yeah, along those lines of theft deterrent, some time back this was on our local news channel. Seems a guy stopped at a red light, car was running and dude comes up and 'jacks his car from him at the light. Tried to drive off and couldn't as the car was a standard shift, LOL Only got a few feet, killed the motor so he jumped out and ran off. Guy with the car said car jacker was like 19-20 years old, probably never drove a stick shift in his life.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow of the knob. Really nice shape, no deep scratches or gouges, looks to be a 1/4'' threaded hole. Sure it could be drilled and tapped to larger size. Throw it in with the boot and ring for an extra $5, total shipped to your door $35 sound good?
