Hub Cap Size I.D.

Hey guys

Could anyone tell me what the inner diameter for the hubcaps that would fit these wheels be? I just sent them off to powdercoat so I have nothing to measure myself. Looking to find a set of Baby Moons or the Chevy stamped version for them. Thanks in advance!

6-lug = 1/2 ton = 10 inch diameter. 8-lug = 3/4 to 1 ton = 12 inch diameter.

Re: Hub Cap Size I.D.

They are the same size as about any nub-type hubcap except ones for 8-lug trucks. I think they only make one size baby moon. The 1/2 tons take the same size as cars

Re: Hub Cap Size I.D.

Thanks Gentlemen. So that would be a 10 1/8" ID then. I've seen 10 3/16" as well.

To add to this, has anyone seen the police style caps in that size ID? I think the stamping just adds a bit more style to an otherwise plain cap.

Re: Hub Cap Size I.D.

What police cap are you referring to? As for the inner I.D. measurement, people come up with different numbers, but they are the same. Chrysler had some oddball size caps that were smaller (like most of what they did). I hear the standard cap size as 10.5 mostly (IIRC),but I don't measure. They just fit.

Here are some samples of Chevy car caps. 54,55,60,65,66/67 Chevelle. They all fit:

Re: Hub Cap Size I.D.

i was referencing these but i've only ever seen them for rallye's

Thanks for all the info. There is so much mis-information out there from sellers about what fits what, and some that have no information all together. I appreciate the help!

I really just want a nice looking classic style cap that isn't too gaudy, yet has a bit of style at the same time.

If you like this style, I can go out and measure one for you tomorrow. They fit on my C-10 stock 15" wheels.

Yeah, those so called police caps are for rallyes. I've never seen any police cars with those. Wheel Vintiques has a small variety of caps made specially for car-type rallye wheels that were never found before, and some original styles that only fit their wheels.
