Don't forget, when cleaning up the parts while doing the brakes correctly, you must rattle that can of paint until it gets quiet--else it isn't mixed well enough yet!...or does your name automatically ensure that? Also we are all hoping you read the new requirement for membership: states you MUST show pictures--lots of them--after you make each improvement. sam |

Re: just got my first c10
already fixed brakes and some other small stuff. the po put the both bigger brake shoes on right side and both smaller shoes on left front, he also left lots of air in system and had a leaky wheel cylinder on rf. the drive home 50 miles or so was definitely not boring.
I will show pics of repairs and upgrades. And yes my screen name goes with the rattle can them plus a little bit of rat rod and the sounds I here when driving her. thanks for comments, I haven't went a day since I bought her without doing something to her. the truck is like heroin! |

Re: just got my first c10
I just had a flashback to 1981
Looks like my first vehicle at age 18. '69 C/10 painted flat black with rattle cans and brake issues. Paid $300 back then. Hello, my name is Mike, and I am a C/10 addict. |

Re: just got my first c10
I'm becoming an addict really quick. I have a long list of things to do with it. Most likely will never be a restoration but a fun toy to tinker with.

Re: just got my first c10
Even those with full restorations need to be tinkered on. I drive my truck because I like it. I don't own a museum.

Re: just got my first c10
Congrats on the 'first' one! Expect to be consumed, all day everyday, in mind, spirit and body by your C10!
Oh, and whatever you may tell yourself, it will never be 'done'. |

Re: just got my first c10
thanks, was spending time today with lots of sanding and rattle cans on interior parts. the inside is like a rainbow and I'm trying to match it to exterior for now. Only difference is I'm taking my time and not just spraying over everything. pics to come... everything flat black for now, cant hurt if it's all just rattle anyway
