Re: Truck names?
I used to drive a '74 Mercedes Benz and I liked the name "Mercedes" so much my wife and I were gonna name our daughter that, but she never happened. So my step daughter said I should call my '71 GMC, "Mercedes", when I bought it. It stuck. As a side note, my step daughter was 16 and hated the truck, said it was too old, until she was with me and seen the thumbs up's from others looking at the truck. She decided she likes it now lmao. I think she likes the attention

Re: Truck names?
The name of my truck is "instant death".
Just kinda stuck from all my friends and family and can't forget my lady. Everyone just kept saying how big of a death trap it is, and I just tell them if I happen to get in an accident it will either be really safe or "instant death" I take pride in my truck, it's been a wayside the time iv had it and have really grown to it. Gets me from point A to B everyday. Has more than 500k miles and still moves like it was off the showroom floor, minus to coils lol Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Truck names?
Mine is Roxy.. Not entirely sure how i came up with that name.. my friends say my truck looks really wide when i roll 1/2" off the ground, and its boxy looking as its a squarebody.. so i came up with Roxy... it fits.

Re: Truck names?
Ive had Harry (52 burb), okie (48 burb), digger (50 panel) . I now have Olive (70 k5), Clyde (68 gmc burb) and hugger (69 k5)For some reason I always name them, maybe so when I talk about them ita easier that way. I guess in some sort of weird thinking I figure if I name then maybe they wont leave me stranded since they're "they're one of the family."

Re: Truck names?
I was a big baseball fan as a kid .. maybe I still am.
I call her 'Grande Slam' .. or just 'the black truck' for short. I hadn't bled the brakes on this shot, that's the reason for the ramp.. just to keep it from rolling. She should be driveable in about 10 days or so. Finishing the bed up this weekend I hope.

Re: Truck names?
Ok mine didnt have a name until late last year. I went wild some might say with my paint choice(synergy green). then i decided to bag it so i ordered a set of slosh tubz and the 2 together reminded me of someone. Katy perry. she usually has a wild hair color or outfit, and has curves that match the slosh tubz(i`m sure mike will get a kick out of that) and the truck in general(67-72s have great curves by themselves). anyone see the similarity with the tubz. (hint bottom 2 pics lol)

Re: Truck names?
So after a 23 hr round trip to buy my Blazer on Sunday, I was hit in the side by a chick in an Armada on Wednesday. After several months of an improto rebuild I ran across this beer label.
Since she's a pale yeller, didn't die and came out a little stronger than before, she became Stella. Now Jessie was named within minutes of the cash exchanging hands. We made the deal, loaded her on the trailer and when I cranked my truck to leave, what song was playing on the only rock station in Podunk Mississippi? Jessie's Girl. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Truck names?
I named My Girl Nether~Storm. The name came from World of Warcraft. It was a zone in the game that was Dark and sinister, just what my truck will be when she is done.

Re: Truck names?
Sometimes I refer to my 71 as the Green Bastard, because it is painted green and I sacrificed about 8 trucks to build it.
