school me on bagging my C20

I know absolutely zero about bagging vehicles. I have an 85 C20 I thought of bagging. Is there a basic kit for things like this? How much do parts run completely?

Re: school me on bagging my C20

Oh I commented on your other thread hahah

In the front you can do bags plates up top and cup the lowers. It will allow you to lay crossmember up front if you get some drop spindles.

You can also go with a dropmember up front and lay frame.

Out back you can fab a 4 link or 3 link or 2 link. No one makes a bolt in kit specific to C20's. There are tons of universal kits and porterbuilt has a 4 link that I am sure he can modify to fit your needs.

Talk with Porterbuilt Fabrication.
There are slight differences in the C20 parts,... but Nate can fix you up.

What do you have budgeted for your suspension mods?

Re: school me on bagging my C20

They have heavy duty parallel 4 links that will work with the 10.5 14 bolt rear.

If you want to take some weight off the rear end you can use the 9.5 14 bolt, and use the 3.42 geared one for a increase in mpg. Judging by your year you likely have it anyways.

Do a bag on bar set-up for a better ride, and bag over axle for load capacity.

Also do skimp on the air management. Get quality parts as cheap never last like they should.

Re: school me on bagging my C20

Thanks guys. Since I dropped about $3K in the 4l80e swap (or a little more) and I bought various other junk for the truck like woodgrain steering wheel and a billet grille, interior pieces, as well as a $1500 dollar timing belt and wheel bearing service on my DD volkswagen beetle diesel, this will be a budget build. I have fab skills and have family who can do this, as well as my painter can install bag setups. My main concern is purchasing the parts. I will email nate and see what he says. Thanks!

Check out suicidedoors for a universal 4 link cheap. I have heard. Good things.

Re: school me on bagging my C20

If I was to bag my C20 it would be with a Dropmember and this for the read http://*************/4-link-kits/parallel-4-link-kit. Probably maintain the weight carrying ability too
