I opened up a home equity loan back in June to pay for part of the cost of my '56 wagon (very low interest).

(Don't worry, I have it all under control and have an excellent credit rating!)

People come from all over asking for me to do odd jobs or to find somethig they need. I know people in just about every trade there is, and I di many myself for cash.

I hear many people discuss "extra cash". I have never heard of anything like that. In fact there is no such thing as extra money.

As far as your question. I suggest you ask for a reciept for every purchase (or keep a detailed log) After a month you will be able to identify certain expendatures that is wasting your many. It might be something as simple as the $.75 a day on a Coke or pack of gum. That is an easy way to free up some money.

Full time cable tech (pays the bills), New cable construction side jobs clears about $4000 a year, and that is ALL mine, every penny goes into my project. Then on the side I also sling parts on my e-comerce site PHATcustoms.com

I work full time at the fire department. I also own a landscaping business too. I work 6-7 days a week during the summer.

Mowing grass is a racket. The equipment cost about 15 thousand. You can very easily make 1200-1600 a week during the summer. It depends on how hard you want to work.

I also buy and sell old car parts too.

My brother works for the IRS and he asked me if I could get all you names and addresses... Just kidding
I work for the local gas utility that pays the mortgage. I do a lot of odd jobs on the side as well, lot of welding and car repair. I'll have to go to the junkyard and see if I can find some of those front tow hooks. Two or three sets of those and I could retire!

Started repairing antique furniture 37 years ago as a hobby. It has paid for my tools, trucks, boat, mooring boat, and repairs. Also paid for trips with wife - which is probably why she has allowed me to stay.

When we had the jewelry store, I worked the casino jobs on the weekends to put money in my seperate account, Now that I'm in the casino again Full time, I have a shop at home and do the jewelry manufacturing/repair along with clock repair for jewelry stores along with some friends and customers stuff.

I can usually make 50 to 60 an hour around here as a stonemason. I started off lobstering with my father when I was 8 so the work really doesn't bother me. It takes a heck of alot of patience though which seems to be in short supply these days. I also live in a pretty wealthy area so that always helps. Take from the rich and give to the poor you know. I envy you guys who can make money monkeying around with these trucks though. I still have done nothing but sink money into mine. I have been through quite a few 500 dollar front yard scores but after driving them for a year or two and with all the money I put into them I never come out ahead. I just end up selling a much nicer and cleaner truck to the next guy. I am hoping to make a little on the side with my mig welder once I get good though.

Well I'm on the road now as a sales rep. Never have time to do anything, But I actually used my visa to buy my truck back about 5-6 years ago. I did pretty much all the work needed to get it on the road.
Now I try and use part of my "car expense" check each month to get start getting going on rebuilding the truck.

Finally bought the rear lowering springs and adjustable panhard bar, wich I wanted to do from day one.

BUT
having moved out of town to go back to school and not finding work doing that I have about 20,000-21,000$ left to pay on that loan and with my new car another 30,000$ to pay back and my fiance is still not working since we moved back but now she may go back to school. So I better get really good and splitting that car expense check at the ned of the month.

The one bonus is that we both moved back with our parents till we go buy another house. ( so I have to hurry and finish the truck before we buy the house).

Then I will have to start on another project, my fiance wants me to rebuild a 1970 Dodge Fargo Power wagon that we bought a while back.

TOOO much month left at the end of the money for sure.

This summer I detailed a few cars and trucks and mowed some yards for the extra truck$$. I try to save $200 or so and then go to swap meet and get what I need, that way its payed for. But I'm to the point where I need to get it done. So after Christmas I think I'll get a small loan and finish it. I set a limit when I started 3 yrs. ago. And its under the budget by 2 grand and that will finish the truck. So thats what I'm lookin' at. That won't break the bank!!!! LOL!!
