65 4x4 on a 80s frame
A good friend picked up a 65 4x4 with a PERFECT CAB and nose The bed is in decent shape and today we got a set of rear fenders But after looking at the frame it has been patched and not worth saving We are thinking about putting the body on a 1986 frame and using the complete drive train Thinking that it should be a easy swap but figured I would ask to see what you guys have done

Re: 65 4x4 on a 80s frame
stuff you will need to do:
it will need about a 2/4 inch body lift for the cab to clear the center crossmember the wheelbase is a bit longer 131.5-vs 127 for the 60-66 the 60-66 front bumper mounts to the frame, so be sure to save the first foot or so of frame.
