Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Well it's been way to long since I've put any updates on here, I've been crazy busy this last month, started a new job, have had to get everything prepped and ready for powder coat and squeezing in helping on body work in there too. Last week we got the frame and suspension dropped off to get coated and waiting to get it back to get the chassis back together.

The frame wrapped up for the rain we were supposed to get but we never ran into any.

Yes ! Hope you can spray some color. I had a window of opportunity pass me by when the weather was finally right, then my lawn tractor went belly up. so now I'm working on that, and it's going to rain for the week......again.

Well that's never any good! but now that it has gotten to this point we're a little to worried to paint it and worry about dirt and bugs. We did all the body work but we've got a guy going to spray it in a booth now.

Wow. That's the only thing I can say to describe this truck. The fabwork, the engineering, the design, everything is amazing. You and your friends have some SERIOUS skills. Can't wait to see how it all comes together.

You decide on colors yet? The Beemer brown and cream/off white top have my vote. Just a simple black powder coat on the frame, silver on the bolt on pieces. Black or dark gray interior.

Edit:

Found one with similar colors

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

I was looking through your pics of the engine bay, and was wondering how you hid the steering column. I really like how that isn't in there uglifying anything up.

Are you going to paint the engine at all?

-Ended up getting a universal Ididit tilt column and got the length we wanted so it would stop at the firewall and used flaming river universals and shaft kit to get it to the rack.

Are you going to paint the engine at all?
- Havent 100% decided yet, it's all aluminum so I'm not sure what I want to do yet.

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Well got most of everything back from powder coat, just dropped the body off at the paint shop last weekend. Been super busy this month between work, and truck work. hopefully as long as I get my yokes back for the rear diff this week maybe this weekend a rolling chassis will start to come together.

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

A couple weeks ago on the way to pick up the frame and some suspension parts, the brake rotor split in half going down the exit just up the road from the powder coater. Never saw one break like that, we limped it up the road to the shop and they had everything we needed to get it tore down and back on the road. So I have to give a big thanks to Aesthetic Finishers in Piqua,OH not only for the awesome coated finish but the help they gave. If you need anything done and can ship it or drop it off to them they are the place to go.
