NO IDEA ABOUT LOGISTICS

It is in Ventura

And I am interested at this point.

My questions are these.....

Hope some of you have the answers.

It seems to be on a newer GMC Long Fleet truck.

What are the size differences between a loadbody like this and a 60-66 Fleetside dimensions ?

I was wondering if there is a universal size, or if these were custom sized and fitted to trucks.

WHAT WOULD ONE OFFER FOR ONE OF THESE ??

Seller asked me to make an offer.

Any help will be appreciated.

I cant help you with the price, but that camper is cool. I have never seen one like that.

Size should be about the same. If you are going to have it transported ,look into buying the entire rig if possible. It will make it easier for the transport person to haul. $300 to $400 max for the camper. You can part out or sell the truck once it gets to you.

UPDATE......guys, Is that a LONGHORN? I cant tell from the angle/// If it is, it wont fit. Too long.

Get the owner to put a tape on it.

And yes, I know a GMC isnt called a Longhorn.

Good call on the "Longhorn" ! I agree- it looks like there is a seam at the front fo the bedside that would be consistent with the Long Horn or "Sierra Grande' model. If that's the case, it will be longer, and that camper would even be more rare!

but also looking at the pic of the rear, it sits in a bit, where the yellow 60-66 is flush... tape measure is best though...

looks like the trim seam is plainly visible.

I know nothing, just looked around. Personally if it turns out to be 6 inches longer I'd just let it hang out the 3-4 inches. when are you going to see another?

It looks to be a "Longhorn" 8 1/2ft bed. I have a Custom Camper Sierra Grande but it is the 127" WB standard long bed. I believe the bed option was separate from Sierra Grande.

Hey Grizz. I think Freak's idea of buying the truck and then parting it is a pretty good idea. Does that style have any sort of following over there? Parting it out may just pay for your Pullman?

Hi Mate,

It is a good idea to part it out, but the cost of landing an extra truck here, and a very limited market

Although I came late, there was only one 60-66 C10 truck and very few post 66 trucks and a few more pre 60 trucks.

The 60-66 trucks have not yet hit this market as "Retro/Rodding" material.

Anyway, back to a comment I made elsewhere.....

I would have been happy to pay $75-150 max, due to it being worth scrap, but there will not be another one in the UK.

Then it would have taken some time and effort to restore it, possibly polish some of the sections and paint part of it, or paint it all like the example above.

Due to the risk associated, I would top bid at $150 for a good one, and probably $100 or less on the one in that ad.

I definitely want an aluminium canopy/camper shell for my truck.

It makes life a lot easier when you bring a load of "stuff" with in the container as you could be able to lock it up and secure it.
Either way, I would love a part polished, part painted canopy t go to shows with.

One of these old Pullmans would just be 200% cooler and greatly functional along with the Grizz-Pod.

Unfortunately that one has sold.

I hear ya Grizz. I'm probably going to have to modify a fleetside camper shell to fit my stepside. Too bad the Pullman was sold. The cool factor on that was through the roof!

Through the roof is my style, and the work and effort to get a rough one like that sorted out is worth doing, especially here in the UK where there are few C10 trucks.

Sierra Grande is just the top of the line GMC trim level (equiv to a Cheyenne Super). This truck is a longhorn, which only means it's a 133" (vice the standard lwb 127") wheelbase with a 6" extended bed to make up the difference (thus the front seam). You could order the Longhorn with any trim level - so this was a top of the line truck at some point.

That 65 is gorgeous!
