big block manual trans linkage
i havent seen or heard of a big block with a stick in these old trucks but have been told they were made does anyone have any pics of what the linkage from the pedal to the clutch looks like, is it similiar to the v6 setup, when you set the big block in where it goes the rod coming out of the firewall for the small block setup hits the firewall at the bottom, i notched it on our work truck, the 454 still isnt as far back as its supose to set,to make it work and on dads we didnt set the 454 as far back as it was suppose to, both setups we had to move and redrill the frame bracket, ive got a big block in myine with 72 brackets and was thinking of going with a m20 muncie later and want to do it how the factory did it not cut my firewall up to make it work, thanks for any help i can get

Re: big block manual trans linkage
I dont know if these are clear enough, but they are on/from a BB. Everything on my truck is factory hookup.

Re: big block manual trans linkage
the pics clear it all up , looks like the difference is how the ball mounts to the block, i put the ball in the the block by the bell housing which moves it to far back and looks like theres actually a bracket to mount the ball to then to the block, thanks for all the help,
