need alternator help
OK wiring genius I need help I took out an inline six out of my 69 Chevy dropped in a 350 with a serpentine belt set up in it. Question is how do I wire up the alternator I have a red white blue and black wire where do they go? Thank you

A couple of things..........
You should have posted this in the electrical forum but if you Pm a mod he can move it for you. There are different ways to wire the three styles of alternators that GM uses and you didn't say what type you have now. The stock style has the external voltage regulator and that's where the red blue and white wires come from with the red wire being the larger supply wire to charge the battery and run the accessories. The internal regulated alternators are the SI style and the CS style. The Si styles started in 1974 and the CS style came out with the serpentine belt drive engines.
