Got my perches & shock mounts shaved off the 12 bolt, ready for the 4 link.

Notches are in & section of the frame cut out.

Re: NineteenSixtyNine GMC project

Incredible, some seriously clean work happening in your garage! Those cab mounts you made, are they stock height? Or a slight body drop?

If i tried to section and weld a box like that, it would be unsalvagable! Wish i could weld like that. I dunno how you guys weld so nicely and not warp everything like i do.

Great to see lots of photos, will be awesome to follow along.

Thank ya smoknbarrels. As for the cab mounts, i made them to stock height. When i start back on my 69 ill be making them for a body drop.

Dont be too hard on yourself, the pics that i dont show are the ones of a box i already tried to shorten and well....... lets just say its someones ashtray in China now.

Yeah im always into seeing lots of photos of peoples build, so i like to give back, lol.

Ryan, good meeting you man. Your gonna have to stop by in the new year and i still have my eyes out for a TG for ya.

Well no updates on the 69 or 70 but here is some pics of a 87 i picked up before Christmas.

So far i've dropped it 5/7, shaved the TG handle, installed a Jimmy TG band, installed new true dual exhaust, removed step bumper, swapped front end to a 91 and mounted my wheels & tires.

On a different note, being New Years Eve.

Id like to wish all 47-Present forum members & families a healthy & prosperous 2014.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!

Re: NineteenSixtyNine GMC project

Too bad, I was just there. I was in West Van for a week then Coquitlam for a week, both for work but had tons of free time.

The new one looks good, nice and simple.
