It was good to meet you as well. Glad the weather held out and there was a good turn out. I'd be up for that.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Here's a few new pics for you guys. Got the seat and carpet in, still have to do the headliner and door panels.

New booster/MC installed. I always seem to forget how many small things there are to do when you build a car, I can't tell you how many to do lists I have made so I don't forget anything.

The plan is to have it ready to run by the end of the weekend and Tuesday looks like a nice sunny day so I can haul it to the exhaust shop and get that wrapped up. I just might be doing burnouts next weekend (Fingers crossed)

Awesome progress! Where'd you get the seat cover? I've been leaning towards full vinyl, but LOVE the hounds tooth!

Thanks man. I got the seat from rick at Chevy metal. His board name is bigblock68. He sells lots good stuff for these trucks.

Yesterday I spent the day installing and hiding the new wiring harness and fighting a pesky brake line leak..grrrr! Goes in for exhaust wed. I still need to get my 700r TV cable bracket set up figured out, I have been reading a lot in the FAQ section, but still need to decide which way to go. Any suggestions? Thanks

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Just clicked back a few pages and guess I had forgotten just how ( . )( . ) you buffed this thing out! The rad support and those inner fenders are like glass.
What are the motor specs? Them are aluminum heads aren't they? Even a cell-phone video will work when you fire it up!

Yeah I went overboard and color sanded/polished everything with paint on it. Not sure I'll do that again. It's a 4 bolt block stock bore, 9.5-1 piston, the heads are an aluminum corvette head, 2.02, 1.6 pushrods, crane roller rockers, little bit of port/polish work. The cam is 224 @.050" /477, nothing to fancy as long as it sounds good and does cool burnouts I will have my son make a video, i just hope i can get it started this weekend.

Thanks Slick. It won't happen this weekend, had to move my exhaust appt cause of rain. Hopefully next weekend. I'm ready for a little break before I tackle another one.

Re: Project. Long Overdue

Sorry for the lack of updates! i have been so busy at work my time has been limited lately. It lives and drives. I had some issues to work through before I could drive it, but I put a few miles on it and a (Beer) induced Burn Out

I know....I owe you all a video! I still need to make it.

Thank You Sir! Your build is one my favorites as well, you have certainly raised the bar with your attention to detail. I will get a video as soon as the weather is nice again. Thanks for following.
