crank windows

The little wheels on the window regulator, are they supposed to be free enough to turn in the channels OR are they only supposed to glide or slide in the channels? The regulator in one of my doors is all twisted due to binding somewhere, either the wheels in the channels, the glass being frozen to the weatherstrip and someone trying to crank it down or someone trying to roll the window up when the cows head was in the way.

Re: crank windows

There meant to turn like the guy above said, but I find it helpfull to really clean out the old sticky grease. Then replace with nice moly grease.

Re: crank windows

These are available new, I just replaced mine on the drivers side (motor is under $50 also, while you're in there), works like new. Seems better than trying to fix these, then have to open the door again when that fails...
