my buddy has a dash blue dash. i told him about it. he is a member so he may contact you. im not sure if its the correct blue.

Here is my grille . No cracks at all. It is well worn though . I thought it was nicer. It is the only one I have . Looks like Jeff's is nicer. Mine has a few scratches in the silver paint but there is only one spot on the lower passenger side that you can feel the scratches. I can barely feel them with a fingernail. They cover about an inch only of the leading edge. All other scratches can't be felt.

Hi Guys.
New on here and should probably have started a new thread but as you are all talking grills...
Any idea if this one I have is for a specific year and model? I've only been able to find one pic of a GMC with this one fitted to it on the web (attached) after a fair bit of searching. It's been hanging on my barn wall for years and would like to see it used rather than collecting dust. It has a piece missing by the latch area but might be of use to someone until they find a better one or repairable if they are a scarce type. Anyway I'd like to know what to say I have instead of just 'old GMC grill'. If it's no use to anyone then it can carry on being decoration - I just won't have to think it's a waste then! Also got a pair of the parking light lenses that are below the headlamps on the truck pic I've attached - I guess the old guy who used to live in my place had one like it. Probably a lot of parts laying around in old barns and garages that people would like to have...

Well look at that - I search under Images for '75 GMC and a whole load come up! Don't know what I looked under before... Looks like a real common grill and not worth fixing so likely it will stay on the barn wall for a few more years yet!

not too common. 73-74 grilles are hard to come by and 75-76 grilles some day will be too. there arnt many and there isnt enough demand to keep them out of the crushers

Man...I knew I should have bought that grille. I past up a 73 GMC grille on a 3/4 ton truck at the junk yard. Didnt think people wanted them.

There is a non-chrome 73/74 grille at a yard near me, they want $45 for it. Deciding if it is worth it. Faded, but whole, no cracks...is on an ex city/county/school district truck.

They are nice to have and look good on our trucks. The only reason that one is bid as high as it is is because it is NOS. Used parts don't sell anywhere close to as much as NOS. It is all about condition. I sell parts for a living and know where 2 of those used grilles are. There is a reason I don't own them. If they were worth a lot of money I would have already purchased them. I feel a USED 73-74 GMC grille is worth $50 to a little over $100 depending on condition and trim level. The most desirable GMC grilles are 77-80.
