Pics for Sid 138

Here are some pics of my '72 Cheyenne, was 6 cyl/4 spd, was V8/TH350 when I got it around '97 not much left original as I have added some things, tach was installed before I got it, I added the tilt, '65 Vette wheel, the CST [buddy] buckets, pwr windows and lowered . The slots have been on this truck since at least mid 70's.

Cool truck! I like the Vette wheel...I have a '65-66 Impala wheel for mine that I have to put on...and I love the slots!

Thanks guys, this is exactly the truck I've wanted since I was a little kid. Been a reliable daily driver since the day I got it, I just love driving old trucks.

Yeah, there is something about driving these trucks...I've gotten more 'thumbs up' with this truck! And I'm sure you know the feeling!

Love your truck Chris, let's see them door panels. Did you put them on this truck?
Daily thumbs up, the other day a guy was taking pictures of my truck as I was hauling a couple pallets of wheels to the polisher.

Oh, hey...thanks!

Yeah, they are on there...I need to find some better armrests yet...but the door panels are on and they look great. Just have to put a new seat cover on (parchment/green), lokar floor shifter, impala steering wheel....all kinds of cool stuff coming.

And again...your truck looks awesome. I love the shortsteps!

Chris

P.S. I'll upload a pic from work...phone doesn't like uploading pics for some reason

Re: Pics for Sid 138

Thanks for the pics Cheyenne!! I really dig the drop, vette wheel and the slots. How much drop do you have, and tire size? Thanks again, brother, Awesome truck!

Re: Pics for Sid 138

Thanks for the compliments, the drop is 2.5" drop spindles with 1" out of the spring in the front, in the rear I cheated and heated the springs. Tires are 255/60-15 frt, 275/60-15 rr, I added a swaybar from a 3/4 ton in the front and it handles pretty good.

Cool, how did you achieve the extra 1" drop on the front? Cut 1/2 of a coil?

And did you by chance measure the distance of space between the rear tires and fenders before and after? I'm guessing around 4 or 5" drop in the rear?
