Re: 79' 2wd blazer
I have been looking at other posts of two wheel drive blazer owners, but this one finally made me register to post on this forum. I have a 79 two wheel drive that needed just about everything. Yours is looking pretty nice.

Re: 79' 2wd blazer
Not much of an update cause I only got a couple hours to work this weekend. Got the three back rails all cut and got the two tacked on. Waiting to tack the back on till I can really work on it again so I can make sure everything stays square. Also picked up a VU4 but I think im gonna try and sell it so I can get the New NPT port manifolds accuair just came out with.
just a close up shot of one of the joints ![]() ![]() ![]() just a shot of the angle of the rails ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: 79' 2wd blazer
Heavy dooty! Is there any science to putting the body mounts on a custom frame? I'm guessing you have a known center, mount it as low as you can, and shoot for level? I know I've oversimplified; I'd be helping on that if I could just for the experience.

Re: 79' 2wd blazer
This is actually a 10g sheet for my lower arms and plating the frame up. The thinner strip is 3/16, got that cause they had it in the discount section.
