Re: 1966 Chevelle Build

Love the stance on the car... will the rear sit fairly low? Does the car bottom out on the inner fenders or bumpstops?

In the picture the air is all the way out and rear tires are on wheel dollies so it's sitting about 3 inches higher. At ride height it will about three inches higher in the front.

The Chevelle is on it's final blocking before paint. Not much longer and I'll have back home putting it back together.

Love that color and the stance so far. Do you have a build thread over on Chevelles too?

Thanks! I started a build thread on the Chevelle forum but I never really got into it over there, this site just feels more like home to me.

Re: 1966 Chevelle Build

I spent a bit of time this evening stripping down the bucket seats I bought last year for the Chevelle. Needless to say the Lowrider blue velvet look just doesn't cut it! The frames springs and tracks are in really good shape other then a bit of surface rust I'll blast off and paint. My plan for the seats is to go with TMI's sport seat covers picture below.

You just can't be "blue" about that! You do know that you are building my dream car right? So, when can I pick it up?
