Re: Doh!!!
If it makes you feel any better, your truck looks great even in a ditch. Seriously though, thank goodness no one was injured.

Re: Doh!!!
You are a very lucky man Asa. One or two of those vehicles around you could easily have spun to avoid you and hit you instead or piled up on the highway. Wide flat tread tires are great in the dry but are easier to hydroplane in the wet. Many of us have had an accident in the rain. Things happen fast then you are along for the ride. Mine put me into two other cars. I wasn't wearing a seat belt and after the first hit from the side it put me down in the seat only to hang on. I'm glad it worked out so well for you two.

Re: Doh!!!
I am very happy to hear that you were not hurt in this accident. I did something similar down in Oklahoma a few years ago - on dry roads avoiding an animal that ran out in front of me. Ended up in a ditch as well.
Your event made me realize that I will have to be very careful with my C10(LWB) and the brand new 396 I am installing in it. The last thing I want to do is duplicate what happened to you.

Re: Doh!!!
Did that same sort of thing with my Jeep CJ-7 years ago, but I caught a snowdrift to get things started. No harm no foul, but talk about 5 seconds packed full of excitement! Glad that all is ok.
