reverse light question.
Alright, so all of my lights in my 69 chevy work, except the reverse lights. Ive checked the grounds and put in different bulbs and even checked to see if it was getting power but nothing i do helps. Any ideas?

Re: reverse light question.
If you have done everything correctly up to this point and the wiring is intact on an automatic truck then it is either the NSS (neutral safety switch) or the power feed to the NSS connector (three and four speed manuals are both different). The NSS is mounted on top of the steering column and when properly adjusted prevents the engine from being started in any gear but Park or Neutral. In addition to being an interlock switch it also has the contacts for the reverse lamps. Quickest way to test it is to pull the connector off and with a test lamp verify power at the connector with the ignition on. If the switch itself is suspect use a fused jumper and verify the reverse lamps light. The switch may be bad, out of adjustment or missing. Here is a page from the factory service manual to get you started. If have not already done so download the factory service manual for additional information.

Re: reverse light question.
OK I'll bite. Why? The reverse lamps are on a different fuse and unrelated circuits.
