I'm looking into doing a keyless entry/alarm system. For those who have done this, what brand(s) do you recommend? One main concern right now is having actuators that are powerful enough. I have helped a friend do about 4 keyless entry systems with Commando Alarms systems (www.commandoalarms.com). I was checking out the Autoloc website and i like that they have the built in relay technology. i always end up doing relays and this would save a lot of time and space. has anyone used the autoloc setup? what else is out there?

i bought a carbine alarm system and it came with autoloc actuators. they went in easy and work fine. im happy with them.

Get a Clifford, the modules have built in relay technology and are the best on the market for reliability and expandability. You can got to www.a1electric.com and get the actuators from there. A-1 makes good stuff and their tech support is pretty good too. If you need any help I can walk you through the install. I have done a few of my trucks now and am getting pretty good at it.

i love keyless entry. I know the locks on these older trucks take a lot more umph than the ones that ive done installs on (nissan & toyota trucks, nissan sentra, honda accord)

i wish your hidden filler worked for us fuel cell guys

If the latch mechanism is well lubricated it takes virtually no effort to actuate.

i'm looking at the clifford site and its confusing because i don't need a fancy alarm.

I have the A1-electric Keyless entry, and it is plenty strong. You just have to Make sure the actuators are bolted down good, and the clips that attach to your existing rods are tight!!

Other than that it is an awesome system for $99

I am planning on ordering the power locks and alarm kit from a1. I am also going to order the power window setup.
