This was in the Car Corral at Spring Carlisle. What a nice survivor it was. I'm broke or it would be at my house now. These pics were taken on my way out Sunday afternoon,so no one else bought it,either. I just thought some would like to see it,so...

That looks like to nice of a survivor to use as a truck or in the winter with salt on the road but I still want one.

Glad to see you come around to the best GM styling ever. The character lines and details of 64-66 trucks are unmatched. IMO, original untouched trucks always look the sharpest, compared many restored trucks that are usually overdone. I have noticed many on the 67-72 forums are finally getting into appreciating the previous generation.

You know that's prolly not a bad price considering it's an original untouched survivor.all GM factory sheet metal.By the time you find one original4x4 .that's rusted out and have to fix all the usual rust in the normal areas,the panels are not cheap as I'm finding out.Iv'e spent about 500.00 on repair panels on the lower cab area,still need more for fenders.Yada,Yada.Long story short,always better to buy something already done,but a poor man can't afford it all at 1 time,unless you have plenty of cash,so I just do alittle at a time when I can afford it.Cuz I like cars/trucks....

I've always liked these and have had four in the past,a short K10 Stepside,a K20,a C20 Custom Camper,and a short Fleetside. Both 2wds were BBW Customs,the K10 was a small window Custom. I just can't buy what I want these days. I've always dug these trucks as well as all that came before. I just got hung up on 71/72s in the '70s as daily drivers and having trucks with interchangeable parts has been my creedo ever since. Now that they are all gems to cherish I'd love to start going back in years to the '30s. A friend has a '60 C40 dump I'm trying to get away from him these days

It didn't have a price on it and no one around. If I knew it was $7,500 I'd probably have tried handing my earnings over as a down payment since it was time to load and go.

here's my 1965 gmc 1500 4x4. doing body work now on it. (not much at all to do, there was no rot at all on it). came from gmc as a cab only truck. i'm going to put a wood bed on the back of it. it only has 14,000 miles on it.[IMG]
