Re: e brake cables
GM part #3824114 says 63-66 K20 with clamp, second series: but does not give overall length. Second series I believe refers to 63, production year had two series. I had new one's copied from my K10's old one's but you don't have old one's. Still the interior of the brake drum dimensions & components would be the same as a two wheel drive. You'd need the length of cable casing from the backing plate to the frame cross member where the parking brake casing horseshoe clips to the frame crossmember and the length of the remaining cable and threaded rod.
Inline has them listed: http://inlinetube.com/Brake%20Cables...s/bcables7.htm Link to previous thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=391465 http://inlinetube.com/Brake%20Cables...ngs/cables.htm clip http://www.gmpartswiki.com/getbigpage?pageid=22355

Re: e brake cables
I actually called Inline tube on Friday looking for cables for my 62 k-20. They told me the dimensions for their 63 cables. They said the rear outer cables were 29 inches long. I think this is too short. I have an old Lisle replacement cable and it is about 40 inches. I am going to measure underneath the truck and see what would work. The 62 may be different from the 63.
They were very helpful on the phone. They can make one from a sample, or if you provide the dimensions Posted via Mobile Device |
