I'm looking for a gas tank that will fit between the frame rails with a filler neck that you can access from behind the license plate like the 69 camaro tank. Something that doesn't cost a fortune either. Is there such a thing??

Do a search for "camaro tank". There are a couple of installations like that IIRC using a 69 Camaro tank.

I think Ryan Manson just did a camaro tank install on his truck in Custom Classic Trucks magazine. Just a couple months back. Rear filler neck and all.

Get a copy of the April 2013 issue of Custom Classic Trucks magazine. Turn to page 10. If a picture is worth 10,000 words, then there are almost a quarter-million words worth of pictures, plus the written words in that "how-to". He started with an Aeromotive, Inc "Stealth" tank for an F-body (67-69 Camaro/Firebird). The link is to their website. They show tanks for '67-8, and a tank for a '69. My old '67 Firebird had the type tank you want. You just have to remember that any tanks that old and unused, are probably worse than the tank in your cab, since the F-body tanks are beneath the body and closer to the ground (and moisture) so rust in/out may be an issue.

I saw that article. I like the idea but I don't like how low the tank has to sit in order to get the fill neck to be at the license plate area. My filler neck is in the wood bed and I hate that. Just looking for another option. I guess there are only so many places to put it in a stepper.
