Re: My 67 lwb: Project Katy
sanding, sanding, and more sanding. we are going to start the final stage of pre paint sanding tomorrow(400 wet). ran out of guide coat so we quit for today. ended up getting another 1/2 gallon of clear to make sure we have enough. hoping to shoot some paint this weekend(depends on the weather).
got some new parts in today. key parts rear chrome sport bumper and brackets(ordered from top bananna). from lmc i got the chrome bolts for the bumper, tag box, cargo light, and some other small mis stuff. Also got my bolt in high hump and new unisteer rack and pinion. if this all goes well i hope to start the pb install next weekend(waitng on a few mis pieces). only have 4 weeks untill the big show.

Re: My 67 lwb: Project Katy
14 hours today and we have this(no clear on it in the pics, but we did shoot 4 coats of clear after these were taken). weather was fighting us, was hot and started to rain a few times. but we pushed through it. i went bold with my letter color, and i think it paid off(compliments the green). came out just how i wanted it.

Re: My 67 lwb: Project Katy
bed is almost done with polishing. i havent had alot of time to get on it so my friend has done most of it(i did try it for awhile when i was there). i have been so busy with work the last week. pushing through some 12+ hour days to try and get friday off(was supposed to have tomorrow off, but not going to happen). hopefully i get friday off and i can start the install of dropmembers. rear is up first. that way we can put the bed back on it then do the front to save space. so either friday or saturday the real fun begins.

Re: My 67 lwb: Project Katy
That takes some guts to tear into a project that far with one week to complete it. Looks like great progress so far. Good luck! It's looking good though. Keep the pics coming!
