Re: Front end questions
There's only so much that can be done with the human eye for camber and castor, is advise on getting it to where it looks straight and take it to an alignment shop

Re: Front end questions
On the lower a-arms there should be round indentations on the tops of the rods. They line up with the u-bolts.

Re: Front end questions
I do my own alignments.
If I didn't, I would ask the people at car show, etc for recommendation. If a few people recommend same shop then odds are better. Too many shops forgot how to align older vehicles. Flat vertical surfaces like discs, wheels, some spindles, etc can be a good place to stick a digital angle finder once car level and loaded on a turntable. |

Re: Front end questions
For Philly area board members - I have found a great alignment shop here in S. Jersey - Steinmann's on Rt 130 in Burlington. Marty specializes in older vehicles, and always has a classic or two in the shop.
I hear Schremps (sp?) in Camden is also a go-to place for old trucks, but I try to steer clear of Camden at all costs. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming, SS's front end question! |
