Re: 1970 swb c-10
This is the (mostly) finished product. I am still waiting on a new stock vinyl seat cover. So the ugly one you see in these pics will be replaced. I got all of the sound/heat barrier in as well as the carpeting. I decided to go with 3 point seat belts so I would feel better about my son riding with me. I got the kit from Brothers and was very satisfied with them. They fit great and work great too. I'm still having a few bugs pop up the more I drive it, but that was expected. I have been driving and enjoying it ALOT. Even got to drive it in the rain yesterday I'll get some pictures of the engine and underside sometime when I have it on the lift.

Re: 1970 swb c-10
what a truck, looks great. if i would have seen that gold before i painted mine, it might be gold also. don't let the "experts" at the car shows bother you. it's been my experience, rather at a car show or not, that the guys that are the most critcal either have junk or no car at all. you may not care, but, you can buy a van shift lever that is shorter. i bought mine at a swap meet. it's the same shift lever just shorter. it's hard to see, but, this is the only pic i have handy.

I gotta say "I love your truck!" It has me wanting to get the upper trim and paint a white stripe down the side of mine.

Very nice truck! I'm not normally a fan of gold on anything, but that color combo just looks great on your truck!

Re: 1970 swb c-10
Just got back from spending the weekend in Branson MO at the Sheppherd of the Hills Cruise. Had a great time despite the weather. It was a good test for the truck. Lots of sitting in traffic without any overheating issues. On the way home I got caught in a heavy rainstorm and drove for about 45 min at 65-70mph. in a downpour with no problems. So I guess its safe to say that my truck is now broke in.
So, this truck is completed. Somewhere down the road I will be swapping out the TH350 for a 700R4. Next will be the hunt for a 67-69 Camaro, 66-72Chevelle, or a fastback Mustang to build for my wife. Thanks to all of those who commented on my build. I couldn't have done it with the help of the great people on this board. I plan on keeping this truck and enjoying it untill the day I hand the keys to my son.

Hmm... did I just see this truck on page 30 of the February 2014 issue of Classic Trucks? I do believe so. Congrats!

Re: 1970 swb c-10
It sure is! I would have never known if you wouldn't have said something. It's cool to see it in a magazine I've been looking at since age 13. (even if it is a tiny pic) Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Re: 1970 swb c-10
Np problem. I think it deserved a bigger pic but some may say I'm partial to gold trucks. Either way, looking good bro!

Re: 1970 swb c-10
Here's a couple of pictures with the rallies on. I put them on for the winter. I also switched my mufflers from Flowmaster 40's to 70 series. It eliminated all of the drone and made it much more pleasant to drive. Ill get some pics of how tight of a fit they are next time I have it on the lift. Also threw in a picture of my son begging me for a ride.

I like the rallies and white letters. Looks like you have a nice spread out there.
