One thing I HATE about trucks!!

Well, north Miss. yielded a nice 72 suburban parts truck Tuesday. The body is rusty, but lots of nice parts. However, the back end is full of boxes of junk! That's what I hate about getting these trucks - all the junk I am stuck with. I have bought several trucks (some running, some not) that have had anything from old tires, scrap iron, bags of garbage, roofing tiles, scrap lumber, worn engine parts, etc... that I end up having to take to the landfill. I think some people just use old truck beds for a garbage can!

You can't leave a truck in one spot for a week without it filling up with trash.

I've found plenty of tools, etc., in cars & trucks like that, even complete socket sets (& not always cheap ones either). Found over $15 in change in the floor of one old Skylark that I got free for hauling it off.

Hey GEE EEM did the tombstone have an end date on it??? Maybe the guy decided it was cheaper to put his corpse in a junk truck and go to the crusher than buy a plot, and here you go disturbing his final resting place. LOL

The worst thing to me about owning a truck is everytime a family member or a friends moves your the one they call because you can haul their stuff. Because there minivan won't fit a couch.

The problem im having with my family isn't the mini-van situation. It's they've all got brand new trucks, nice shiny paint jobs, ect... too afraid to use it for what it was designed for. I hate that. Why buy something like that just for looks? If it were me, id be hauling stuff all the time. One other things that annoys me is these new trucks that have 4wd on them, aren't really made for 4wd. My uncle who drives a f*rd, got chewed out by our f*rd dealership after he took it in for an oil change. I guess they didn't like the factor that he had a load of mud underneath his truck. Oh well......

When I bought the GMC, it was loaded all the way to the home made head liner with yard sale stuff they couldn't sell. It took me oven an hr of unloading before I was able to sit down in it.
The bed was just as bad, although, I did get some tools and jack stants and stuff like that out of the deal.

Could be worse--up at Jamie72---we were parting a truck and there were used condumns all over. There were some unused but were xlarge so couldn't use them~~~~~~~~~~.hehehe

Then there was the 55 chev belair I sold years back that had my nickle bag stuck under the carpet right by the heater. Every time you turned on the heater, you got a little buz. Dumb that I forgot it ----

Then there was my uncle's wrecking yard where he had a "LaSalle" that a guy in a suit wanted to look at. He offered to buy the car for twice what it was worth in junk. Uncle sold it--the guy went out and removed all the door handles, interior trim---it was GOLD Plated!! Then the guy sells it back to my uncle who wanted to know what the deal was---when the guy told him, Uncle Ken chased the SOB down the road throwing parts at his head!!
