Levelling kit for my 06 2wd
Hey, y'all. I want to raise the front of my 06 GMC so it will be level (or close). I just don't want it to be nose up. I have leveled 4x4s with the coil spacers, and torsion bar cranking. Am I correct to assume that the spacers will work on my 2 wheel drive? Should I go with 1.5 or 2 inch? I was really wanting to lower this truck, at first, but I need to keep one vehicle that's not a scraper! Plus, I thought sort of a mild prerunner thing might be cool. Here's the truck, and thanks!

Superlift skyjacker and rough country all have a 2 inch spacer for the front of it.

That thing would look way better lowered in the rear to level it. Especially with that size tire. Great looking truck by the way!

Also, it does have the coil spring front end.

Re: Levelling kit for my 06 2wd
x2 - just put a set of 1" or 2" shackles on the rear leaf springs and be done with it. I have them on my '05 GMC ccsb just like yours and I tow my 18' car hauler with 4,000# trucks on it, my 16' junk iron trailer (loaded to the gills) and never have any problems bottoming in the back unless I hit a really big bump. Having good shocks helps for sure (I'm running Bilsteins). I'm running 285/50/20's that are just over 31" tall.

Re: Levelling kit for my 06 2wd
Thanks, Boss. I was hoping to get some info from someone who had pulled some trailers.

Re: Levelling kit for my 06 2wd
Well, I went against the grain and put 3" lift spindles and 2.5" blocks out back. I was also going to put some 2" spacers up front, but found out when I had everything apart, the ebay seller shipped me the wrong thing. Put some of those silly rubber ones from Autozone on, but they only did a little and settled fast. Also got an N-fab prerunner bar and 3 9" lights. Just like you all said, I should have just dropped the back. I raised it a month or two ago. I spent part of this afternoon in my shop putting the stock spindles back on, and tomorrow I will take the blocks off the back, and put on the 2" drop shackles I just got for $40. I spent almost $700 in parts and several hours in labor for a look that definitely wasn't for me. I like big ol' 4x4s, I've had several. I guess I don't like medium height 2wds. Live and learn, lol. Here are some pics, anyway, and stay tuned for pics of the drop shackles. If anyone is interested in any of these parts, I'll have them up on the parts board soon. Live and learn.
