Need To Remove The Dash From My Truck!

I need to remove my dash from my 69 to do a repair on the cowl area. Whats the best way to separate the dash from the lower window frame? It looks like it is spot welded together.

you can ether buy a spot weld cutter and cut these spot welds out or cut the dash where the dash pad is. It all depends on you.

I think that cutting along the area below the dashpad and rewelding would be a better way. There are lots of spot welds there on the front. I'd be reluctant to cut them out for fear of introducing more openings for rust to set in after rewelding.

I do agree, if the top dash board does not need to move then just cut at the dotted line and reweld.
